Lilly's Story

Lilly is 15, she is a happy teenager who enjoys listening to music, going to school, playing with her dolls and looking at books; she also enjoys visiting the park and shopping. Lilly is currently being cared for by a short term Foster Carer but she would love to have a long term placement, somewhere she can call home.

Lilly is diagnosed with epilepsy, mild Cerebral Palsy and asthma and has severe learning difficulties. Due to her learning disability she needs support both physically and with her personal care and preparing for independent living. Lilly is a sociable young girl who has lots of friends in school, however due to her disability she requires supervision to ensure her safety and so is currently unable to socialise outside of school.

Lilly has good communication and language skills but her attention span is short. She is very thoughtful of other people’s feelings and in her current placement she lives with other children with disabilities and enjoys helping them. She really enjoys doing tasks around the home, and helping wherever she can.

In Knowsley we are in need of Foster Carers who can provide a loving home for children with disabilities, a home where they can feel safe and secure and where they can develop skills and finally relax and enjoy their childhood.
